In the spring of 2020, two friends in Poreč began meeting in a park for a beer and a conversation. Kristian Korunić and Danijel Močibob had known each other since childhood. Both had returned to Istria with their families. The question that kept coming back was simple: what could they build together?
Two kinds of experience, one shared direction.
Danijel brought a background in engineering, materials and product development. Kristian brought experience in business development and working with entrepreneurs. They divided the work around those strengths: development and production on one side, building the business and brand on the other. The collaboration grew from a longstanding friendship and a common wish to make something of their own.
The work began with a surface.
Early work focused on concrete tabletops for restaurants and cafés. Developing the material was as important as developing the shape. That work became the foundation of EvolutaCONCRETE®, the glass fibre reinforced concrete used in Evoluta kitchens and outdoor furniture. The idea of a complete outdoor kitchen grew from that practical starting point.
A prototype opened the next chapter.
A first outdoor-kitchen prototype was made for a fair in November 2022. Production followed, along with new designs and collaborations. In April 2026, Evoluta presented at Salone del Mobile / EuroCucina in Milan. The scale of the setting had changed; the work still began with material, proportion and the way people gather around food.
The place remains part of the product.
Poreč and Istria remain central to the story. Stone courtyards, a table in the shade and meals that last longer than planned inform the way Evoluta thinks about outdoor living. SOUL, ROCK and POP give that point of view different forms. What connects them is the ambition to create a place that people want to use, share and return to.
